The world famous 'Old Course' of St Andrews can now be viewed from a new 4 storey building which sits on the edge of the towns most renowned tourist attraction. AC Yule & Son Ltd, a leading aluminium architecture company in Scotland, completed work on the Gateway Centre recently, after being awarded the GBP 400,000 contract by Miller Construction in November.
AC Yule fitted the Gateway Centre with Kawneer 1200 Curtain Walling. The company also supplied and installed 501 casement windows, designer doors and automatic doors. AC Yule contributed to the eye-catching profile of the building by adding unique design features such as the glass entrance canopy and glass to glass joints at the staircases.
The attractive, semi-circular building designed by Robert Bloor and Davis Duncan Harrold, hosts a golf museum and exclusive members club comprising of saunas, bars and a health club. There are also restaurants within the centre overlooking the scenic golf course.
