Twenty five employees and friends from AC Yule are going to be put through their paces at the Annual Glasgow half marathon on the 19th August, in aid of Grampian's Saving Sight charity.
AC Yule one of Scotland's leading glass and architectural aluminium specialists has been involved with the charity since 1989, when it was founded by its chairman, Mr Ian Fraser. All donations and funds raised by the charity are given to Aberdeen University's Ophthalmology department to contribute towards the costs of the expensive equipment continually required to improve the treatment given to those with seriously impaired eyesight. The charity is not far off raising GBP 1 million, therefore the AC Yule team want to be the ones to help the charity top the GBP 1 million mark.
The employees involved are from the Aberdeen and Sunderland divisions of AC Yule, and they are all taking the opportunity to get fit using a rigorous fitness regime. The team's good spirit has been rewarded generously with thousands of pounds worth of sponsors, so it looks as if the company is well on track to help Saving Sight in Grampian exceed the GBP 1 million target.
