The newly built, 4 star Holyrood Hotel in Edinburgh displays another impressive project completion carried out by AC Yule, one of Scotland's leading glass and aluminium architectural suppliers.
AC Yule worked to meet the requirements of Hendry & Ledge Architects, Aberdeen for a contract valued at approximately GBP 100,000 awarded by Morrison Construction.
The company fabricated and installed Kawneer 1200 curtain walling which extends from the centre of the main entrance upwards and gives the external structure an eye-catching focal point. Internally AC Yule installed impressive balustrading using heatsoaked glass. A unique feature of the balustrading is the absence of vertical supports. AC Yule also supplied and installed 190 designer doors, Kawneer top swing windows, and steel fire doors, all adding to the hotel's exclusive appearance.
The hotel is situated on Holyrood Road, in close vicinity to the new Scottish Parliament and will be a popular thoroughfare for MP's and the general public alike due to its prime site.
AC Yule's Head Office is based in Aberdeen with divisions in Livingston, Elgin and Sunderland.
