Edinburgh Business Park has been highly acclaimed over the last year due to its superior site and high quality buildings. AC Yule have been one of the high calibre companies contracted to work on the premier office blocks, and have completed works on a number of sites within the park, the most recent being site G1.
The GBP 675,000 contract was awarded to AC Yule in March 1999 by Miller Construction, and worked to meet the requirements of Alan Murray Architects Ltd.
AC Yule supplied and installed Kawneer 1200 dry curtain walling and 1200S with opening vents, both contributing to the dominant glass facade. The company was also responsible for supplying and fitting designer doors and toughened glass doors to the building.
One of the most striking features of the office block is the glass corner tower, giving it an unusual focal point. Other specialist touches that AC Yule provided include; bullet nosed faced caps attached to the mullions, a bolted glass entrance feature, a light box and, 'slot' fixed light windows.
Owan Taylor, Architectural and Commercial Director, commented
"AC Yule are proud to have worked on such a well-known project, to be rewarded further contracts on the business park after our first completion on the site was proof that we could meet the high standards expected. From the beginning, we set out to win major contracts such as these, and we hope to win many more to add to our portfolio."
