Sunderland have won a contract for the Newcastle Falcons rugby ground to the north west side of Newcastle. This is a new build project for Metnor Construction consisting of curtain walling, windows, doors, revolving doors and firescreens. The project was a fast track programme leaving no room for error.
AC Yule worked alongside Metnor project director Alan Greenwell to ensure both programme and quality requirements were adhered to.
The project was completed with carpets being laid on the morning of the opening which played host to guests such as Ian Botham and Paul Gascoigne.
Sunderland are also working on a contract for the redevelopment of the south stand at Newcastle United's St James Park Football Ground for Mowlem Plc.
The alterations entail removing an existing car park and constructing a new public house and a retail outlet for the clubs sponsors Adidas.
AC Yules involvement includes creating a glazing facade of approximately 400m2 complete with plate glass manual and automatic doors. The finish to the project will feature a highly polished external aluminium cap sourced through SAPA from a
specialist in Germany.
AC Yule in the north east are delighted to be involved with this
prestigious project for the north east premier football club.
Sunderland also received a certificate of achievement for the
high level of safety on the Bovis Lend Lease, B&Q Superstore trafford park, Manchester.
Congratulations from all at AC Yule!
