New Product Introduction at Tayside

Tayside Windows (part of the AC Yule group) have recently introduced a new weldable gasket window system their product range. The new product uses the Veka Matrix system and essentially changes the glazing check from external to internal.There are a number of advantages to using this system for the end user. The windows are infinitely more secure as the glass cannot be removed from outside. This added security feature forms part of our ongoing business strategy to have all our products tested to the highest industry standard, but with no additional cost to the end user.
The product has undergone testing to BS7412, BS7950 and is currently being tested to meet the Police backed Secured by Design certification.
Advantages in the manufacturing side are that 'Shrink-back' of the gasket would no longer be an issue, and as the gasket is welded in the corners, the window performance will also be improved. The internal glazing system also means that any future glass changes can be completed from inside the building without the need for costly scaffolding.
Windows are available in both 70mm and 58mm Matrix system supplied by VEKA. The window profiles have the sash seals and glazing gaskets fitted into them after the extrusion process.
This new product introduction will also provide efficiency improvements during the window and door manufacturing process. Manual gasket insertion will no longer be required, with the added benefit of reduced product maintenance Material waste will also be reduced in line with groups strategy to protect the environment.
