AC Yule have recently sponsored one of the Kelly's cats, the leopard statues taken from the City's coat of arms, are named after the bridges architect Dr William Kelly. On receiving a concrete cast of the cat, our Neil Cummings artistically sculpted a glass/resin replica.
The AC Yule Glass Cat is currently displayed in the window of Jamieson & Carry Jewelers on Union Street and will be there until the end of August. All the profits from the project will go to the Aberdeen branches of Leukemia research and UNICEF. It is also planned that the cats with then appear at Offshore Europe in September and finally be included in the City's annual art festival in October.
