Glass Edge Polishing
Two straight line edger machines have enhanced the groups capability, providing flat
polish and polished chamfer on either float or laminated glass in
thicknesses from 3mm to 25mm. In addition to a standard finish, these
machines can also provide a highly polished finish using cerium oxide.
There is also the capability of a pencil rounded finish on 4mm and 6mm
substances.
Glass Edge Bevelling
AC Yule's state-of-the-art bevelling machine which is capable of producing
bevels from 15mm to 60mm wide in glass substances from 3mm to 19mm. Minimum
size of glass which can be bevelled is 35mm x 35mm and the maximum size is
3000mm x 2000mm. The machine is capable of double and even triple bevels!
Shaped Polishing and Bevelling
In addition to straight line polishing and bevelling, standard shapes such
as circles, ovals, dome and arch tops can all be produced on the shape edge
working machine. More intricate shapes can be done using a free-hand
facility.
Glass Edge Mitring
Glass edge mitres from 22.50 to 450 in both float and laminated glass can
be produced.
Glass Drilling, Notching and Cut-outs
Holes and counter sunk holes can be drilled from 3mm to 100mm diameter.
External notches, internal notches and cut-outs can be carried out in
substances from 3mm to 25mm.
Brilliant Cutting, Finger Grips
Designs can be cut from the glass surface using a variety of wheels from a
3mm "v" wheel to a 25mm buff wheel. Sunk finger grips can also be cut into
the glass surface to a standard size.
Resin Laminating
Within the company there is the capability to produce resin laminated panels. A cold poured
resin mix cures solid between two pieces of glass. This is used for
specialist panels such as thick substances laminated together for
applications such as pavement lights, stair treads and dance floors.
Resin laminating can also be used for sound reduction where the resin
interlayer is increased in thickness to absorb high sound levels.
